The Hobbit House
Built directly into the mountainside of ‘La Colline’ is the hobbit house, a small earth cave like those inhabited by hobbits in the Shire. With a flower-covered roof, round windows, an oval door and many decorations, it seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale.
In front of the house is a south-facing terrace with a view over the meadow, the stream and the wooded slopes of the local mountain. There is also a stone washbasin at the edge of the terrace under a fig tree.
Inside there is a wood-burning stove, a double bed and a table and chairs. There are also a few places to store luggage.
The hobbit house has its own electricity supply, which is fed from the stone nest's solar system.
An internet cable (LAN) is available in the evening garage at the stone nest and a kitchen is also available for everyone at the clay oven in front of the stone nest.
The earth house
Just like the hobbit house, the earth cave was built into the mountainside and therefore offers a special atmosphere of shelter in the earth. Flowers grow on the grass roof and the terrace offers a wonderful view of the surrounding nature.
Inside, there is a double bed, table and chairs and a few options for storing luggage.
The earth cave was built in such a way that the front is almost entirely made of glass and the interior is very bright. This makes the room feel particularly light and cosy.
An internet cable (LAN) is available in the evening garage at the stone nest and a kitchenette is also available for everyone at the clay oven in front of the stone nest.
Sanitary facilities for the earth houses
The sanitary facilities for the earth houses are located slightly above the earth houses. There is a shower with clear stream water (hot and cold), a washbasin and a compost toilet. There is also a fridge, which can be used by everyone for food in summer.
The witch's house
The Hexenhaus is located above the stone nest directly by the mountain stream and on the edge of the forest. It is pleasantly cool there, especially in the summer months, and you can quickly descend to the stream for a refreshing dip.
The witch's house has a kitchen, a fridge, hot and cold water, electricity and an internet connection via LAN cable. There is a double bed and another bed upstairs, which is ideal for children. There are also various places to store luggage and a table with chairs.
On the other side of the house there is a shower, a compost toilet and a washbasin with hot and cold water.
